Mais sobre Henry LeTang no currículo disponível no site da Broadway Dance Center, de onde saiu a foto lá de cima e que reproduzo aqui:

Choreographer Henry Le Tang choreographed the movie Cotton Club with acclaimed director Francis Ford Coppola. Le Tang's touch of Terpsichorey as choreographer for the much acclaimed Broadway musical Eubie and the smash hit Sophisticated Ladies, starring Gregory Hines and Judith Jamison, later by Maurice hines, earned Le Tang a Tony nomination and the Outer Critics Circle Award for outstanding TAP Choreography on this show and won the 1989 Award for the Broadway musical Black and Blue. He also choreographed the movie Tap with Sammy Davis Jr. and Gregory Hines.

Henry Le Tang, a native of New York, began his dancing career at the age of seven. Having fully polished his own technique by the time he was seventeen, he then opened his own studio in 1937. It wasn't long before Henry's inimitable style transformed and emphasized the importance of choreography for nightclub performers, establishing him as one of the country's foremost motion stylists. At this time another beautiful hopeful came to Henry for direction and made it big... her name was Lena Horne.

Henry Le Tang's great Tap Dancing Students include his protégé Gregory Hines, Hinton Battle, Maurice Hines, Debbie Allen of TV show Fame, Joey Heatherton, Chita Rivera, Lola Falana, George Kirby, Bette Midler, Harry Belafonte, Milton Berle, Lee Marvin, Bille Holiday, Nancy Walker and Sugar Ray Robinson.

Henry Le Tang has always been associated with all that is new and innovative in the dance world. His scope and list of dance disciples is unparalleled, including established and future stars alike. As legendary danceman Bill Bojangles Robinson summed up Henry's Choreographing talent "that young man's staging is really copacetic."
